This Ready-to-Go Package will provide your organisation with the foundations for establishing technology specifically for pastoral and spiritual care.  All documents are ready for you to customise and adapt for your organisation’s needs.  These resources will give you a step-by-step guide to assist you to conduct a gap analysis, set goals, make a plan, develop a budget, prepare and business case, communicate and engage loved ones and evaluate the effectiveness of the program.

This package includes:

Self-Assessment Readiness checklist – This document helps you to identify your starting point and what you need to have in place.  This will be important in developing your Pastoral and Spiritual Care Technology Plan.    There is no defined set of standards regarding what should and should not be included in a Pastoral and Spiritual Care Technology Plan.  This is just a guide only, so feel free to adapt it to suit your own needs. 

• Pastoral and Spiritual Care Technology Plan – This is your policy document that sets out the details of your plan to progressively use technology to support pastoral and spiritual care.   The framework has been provided ready for you to add your logo, organisational details and content that reflects your journey.
• Budget Planning Tool (excel) This is a sample budget for you to customize and populate.  It assists you to think of the kinds of expenses your are likely to encounter.   Depending on your circumstances, it may be more feasible to start out small and grow the technology program over three years.
• Business Case Outline Technology has a cost and there are always pressing needs when it comes to caring for older people.   Putting together a business case can be daunting, but this outline makes it easier for you to customise it for your own organisation.  
• Connecting with family/carers There are many advantages of connecting an older person with a loved one through telephone or video.  However, barriers can be experienced, and these can be overcome by effective communication and engagement at the outset.  This template is a starting point for drafting a communication to them.
• Evaluation process – All projects and initiatives should be evaluated to assess the effectiveness and to inform any improvements that could make it even better.  This document provides a template for measuring the effectiveness of the technology program.
